Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of cofilin1 in gastric cancer and its clinicopathological significance. Methods Tissue chip and immunohistochemistry (SP method)were used to detect the expression of cofilin1 in 75 cases of gastric cancer,30 cases of normal tissue and 23 cases of intraepithelial neoplasia. To analyze its relation to clinicopathological features like clinic stage of gastric cancer, lymph node metastasis and so on . Results The expression positive rate of cofilin1 in normal tissue, intraepithelial neoplasia and gastric carcinoma showed an increasing trend(P<0.05)and diffuse gastric cancer positive rate was significantly higher than that of intestinal type gastric cancer (P<0.05).The expression positive rate of cofilin1 in gastric tumor smaller than 3.0 cm was lower than that in the group bigger than 3.0 cm (P<0.05).The expression positive rate of lymph node metastasis group was significantly higher than the group without metastasis (P<0.05).The expression positive rate of the histological grade Ⅲ and Ⅳ of TNM were significantly higher than that of stage ⅠandⅡ(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the group with different gender (P>0.05). Conclusion The expression of cofilin1 had close correlation with the degree of differentiation, tumor volume, lymph node metastasis and TNM staging in gastric cancer.cofilin1 was closely related to the development and prognosis, and it might be regarded as an important biomarker in gastric cancer.
