Abstract
ObjectiveTo study the effect of Fuzheng Jiedu Granula(FJG)on DNA damage in rats renal cells induced by Nickel sulfate(NiSO4). Methods Rats nephrotoxicity was induced by intraperitoneal injection of NiSO4[2.5 mg/(kg·d)] and different dosages of FJG [5,10,20 mg/(kg·d)]were administered by gavage. Cellar DNA single strand break(SSB) and total antioxidant capacity (TAC) of renal tissues were determined with single cell gel-electrophoresis (SCGE) assay and colorimetry,respetively. ResultsThe percentage of comet-like tail cells,length of tail,tail Olive moment,tail DNA percentage and ratio of tail/head were increased as well as TAC was increased significantly in FJG groups, compered with those in NiSO4 group(P<0.05, P<0.01). ConclusionBy inhibiting oxidative damage,FJG could play in antagonistic effect on DNA damage induced by nickel.
