Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the prevention and treatment methods of complications after argon-helium cryoablation on primary hepatocarcinoma.Methods60 patients with advanced hepatocacinoma which were not suitable for surgical ablation were treated by Argon-helium cryoablation. The complications induced by the therapy were observed, prevented and treated. ResultsComplications induced by the Argon-helium cryoablation therapy on patients suffered from hepatocacinoma would occurred in multiple systems. Most complications were be avoided or recovered if some measures were taken before or during the treatment.Incidence rate of pleural effussion in our group was higher than that in previous reports. The fatal complications after the treatment were prevented successfully. Conclusion Argon-helium cryoablation is a safe and effective treatment for hepatocacinoma. Therapeutic associated complications could be prevented and treated effectively.
