Abstract
Abstract:Objective To explore the value of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography(CEUS) in the diagnosis of renal hamartoma. Methods Thirty-one cases of renal hamartoma were examined with real-time CEUS SonoVue and CnTI techniques, and the perfusion process and the variation of agent was observed. The whole dynamic perfusion process on CEUS was recorded, the time-intensity curve was quantitatively analysed using software QontraXt. Results Compared with the cortex of the kidney, renal hamartoma showed special features in three aspects: the beginning time, degree and persistence time of enhancement. The time-intensity curves were slick, low and flat, but in general speaking, the curve radian of renal hamartoma was lower while normal renal cortex was higher. From the view of ultrasonographic quantified parameters, there were significant differences in the peak of the signal intensity, the time-to-peak and the areas under the curve(P<0.05), and no difference in the sharpness of the curve between renal hamartoma and normal renal cortex. Conclusion Using the CEUS and the quantitative analysis technique of time-intensity curve, we could precisely quantitatively analyse the dynamic perfusion of renal hamartoma, which is very helpful for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of renal hamartoma.
