Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of REGγ andp21 in papillary thyroid carcinoma tissues andin normal thyroid tissues aswellas theirrelationships. Methods Specimenswerederived from 20 cases of papillary thyroid carcinoma tissues and 10 cases of normal thyroid tissues.Western blot were applied to detect the protein expression of REGγ and p21 in papillary thyroid carcinoma tissues andin normal thyroid tissues. Results Theresultsfrom Western blotshowed thatthe expression of REGγ in papillary thyroid carcinoma tissues wasobviouslyhigher than that in normal thyroid tissues(P<0.05).The expression of REGγ in papillary thyroid carcinoma tissues wasobviously lower than that in normal thyroid tissues(P<0.05).The expression of REGγ wascorrelative negatively with the expression of p21 in papillary thyroid carcinoma tissues(P<0.05). Conclusion Theformationofpapillarythyroidcarcinomawasrelatedtothe higher expression of REGγ and the lower expression ofp21.REGγ may be promote the degradation of p21 in papillary thyroid carcinoma tissues.
