Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of CKS1 and p27 protein in breast cancer and analyze their correlation with clinical parameters. Methods Immunohistochemical staining method of SP was used to examine 149 samples of breast cancer. Results The expression of CKS1 in breast cancer was significantly associated with lymph node metastasis and clinical stage (P<0.05). No correlation was found between expression of CKS1 and tumor differentiation. Significantly inverse correlation was found between expression of p27 and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). Multivariate analysis showed statistical correlation between the prognosis and clinical stage, lymph node metastasis, expression of CKS1 and p27(P<0.01). Significantly inverse correlation was found between CKS1 and p27 expression. Conclusion CKS1 and p27 may play an important role in breast cancer and could be the potential gene therapy target for breast cancer.
