Retrospectively Analysis of Prognostic Correlative Factors of Aryngeal Carcinoma

To investigate the prognostic correlative factors of the postoperative laryngeal carcinoma. Methods The clinical data of 86 patients of postoperative laryngeal carcinoma in our hospital from 1994 to 2005 were retrospectively analyzed. Gender, age,smoking,T-staging,N-staging, operative manner，neck dissection of lymph node，preoperative chemotherapy，postoperative radiochemotherapy, survival rate for 5-year were collected.Single factor anslysis was carried out using Chi-square test,multivariate analysis was performed using Cox proportional hazard model,comparison among the groups was performed using Log-rank test. Results (1)Single factor analysis indicated that smoking, cell differentiation,T-staging,N-staging, preoperative chemotherapy,postoperative radiochemotherapy were significant factors to influence prognosis of laryngeal carcinoma.(2)Multivariate analysis showed that the smoking, T-staging,N-staging，postoperative radiochemotherapy were the independent prognostic factors. Conclusion The prognostic evaluation and therapy of laryngeal carcinoma should be based on T-staging and N-staging,quit smoking and postoperative radiochemotherapy will be benficial to the prognosis of patients.
