Kangai Injection Combined with Chemotherapy in Advanced Gastric Cancer

Objective To evaluate the efficacy, toxicity and effect on quality of life (QOL) in advanced gastric cancer patients treated with Kangai injection combined with TX regimens. Methods Sixty-two patients with advanced gastric cancer were randomly divided into two groups: treatment group(n=32) received Kangai injection and chemotherapy, and control group (n=30) only accepted chemotherapy. The response rate, toxicity and QOL were compared between two groups . Results The response rate of treatment and control group was 46.9% and 43.3% repectively (P＞0.05), less toxicity than control group (P<0.05), and the QOL was increased significantly(P<0.05). Conclusion Kangai injection combined with chemotherapy can reduce the toxicity and improve the QOL.
