Abstract
Objective The objective of this study was to evaluate the therapeutic effect of conformal radiotherapy combined with thermotherapy on advanced pyloric obstruction caused by cancer. Methods Radiotherapy with 2Gy/fraction, 5fraction/week.a total 45~50Gy, and associated with thermotherapy twice a week for6-8 fraction, 45~60minutes/fraction. Results 13 patients relieved from pyloric obstruction and restored diet,4 cases pulled out draining tube,2 cases had not effective. Conclusion The conformal radiotherapy combined with concurrent thermotherapy is an effective approach to improve life quality and without obvious adverse reaction,So Radiotherapy and hyperthermia for pyloric obstruction caused by cancer is feasible.
