42 Cases Clinical Study of Repair and Reconstruct Mass Chest-wall Defect by Dacron after Tumor Resection

Abstract
Objective To study the operating procedure and reconstruct mass chest-wall defect by dacron. Methods From 1990, 10 to 2004, 6, 42 patients underwent chest resection using dacron to reconstruct the chest-wall. Make it's form become the same as the defect chest and sew it to chest tissue, then sew up the chest tissue by procedure, last bind it with pressure. Results There were no operating death and serious complication. 5 cases (12 %) has postoperative complication. Among them local effusion under skin 1 case, cardiac arrhythmia 4 cases. 1, 3, 5 years survival with malignant tumor were 86. 5 %, 57. 9 %, 36. 8 % respectively. Conclusion Surgical resection of chest-wall tumor is a safe and effective treatment, that should be positive is treated. Repair nd reconstruct mass chest-wall defect by dacron is not only have good tissue compatible, flexibility and elasticity but also have many advantages such as easy to operate, little complication.
