Abstract
Objective To study the expression of Fas、FasL in gastric carcinogenesis and it s possible significance. Methods The expression of Fas and FasL were analyzed with immunohistochemist ry SABC method in different gast ric mucosa. Results The positive expression rates of Fas were 46. 6 %for gastric cancer tissues, 51. 6 % for paracarcinoma tissues, and 83. 3 % for tissues of 5cm distance from gastric cancer tissue, 85%for gastric mucosa of benign diseases, and 95%for normal gastric mucosa. The positive expression rates of FasL in the above-mentioned tissues were 86. 6%, 81. 6%, 26. 6%, 20% and 10%. The expression of Fas and FasL was correlated with the degree of tumor differentiation (P<0. 05), but has not significant difference for tumor stage and metastases in lymph nodes (P>0. 05) . Conclusion The abnormal expression of Fas and FasL maybe relate with the pathogenesis of gastric cancer and is also involved in the degree of differentiation and the immune escape.
