Prognosis Analysis of Low Grade Gliomas

  • Objective  To identify prognostic factors in low grade gliomas. Methods  To retro-analysis the clinical factors of 98 cases low grade gliomas. Results  Age is a prognosis factor for survival in low grade gliomas and a man owns worse prognosis when one is older than forty ;Epilepsy is related to a better outcome if this is the only symptom present ; Tumor volume greater than 20cm3>>> who is of unfavorable prognostic significance ; The role of extent of surgical removal remains one of the most cont roversial issues in the treatment of low grade gliomas. Conclusion  The age and clinical manifestation and tumor volume influence prognosis of low grade gliomas.
