Surgical Treatment of 20 Cases of Esophageal Diverticulum

Objective To evaluate the experience of diagnosis, orientation and surgical treatment of esophageal diverticulum. Methods Surgical treatment was performed in 20 cases among 21 cases, complete resection of the diverticulum was done in all cases. Results There were no esophageal fistulae and other complications. 12 cases were followed up at 1～5 years, there were no recurrence of diverticulum and good long term results.
