Abstract: Objective To evaluate the capacity of Thin Prep and HPV in testing of vaginal samples. Methods Women were instructed to collect a vaginal sample for HPV testing, then exfoliative cervical samples and subsequent colposcopic biopsies were taken on all subjects.Cervical samples were collected into a liquid buffer and utilized for both cytologic screening using ThinPrep and HPV testing of residual liquid-based cytologic samples.
