Abstract:
Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of HLA-G in Xinjiang Kazak patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC). Methods The expression of HLA-G was detected using SP immunohistochemical staining in 30 ESCC and 20 cases of tumor adjacent normal tissues. Results The positive rate of HLA-G expression in ESCC was 66.7%(20/30),significantly higher than that in tumor adjacent normal tissues(20%)(
P<0.05).The positive rate of HLA-G was closely related with depth of invasion and clinical stage(
P<0.05 for all),but not with age, gender, tumor location, histologic grade and lymphnode metastasis(
P>0.05 for all). Conclusion The significantly over expression of HLA-G might play a key role in the pathogenesis of Kazak ESCC in Kazak population.
