Abstract:
In this paper, dysplasic squamous nuclei in esophagus in 73 patients were determined by computer image analyzer. Areas, perimeters, form factors, heterotypic indices and apherical degrees were examined and compared with normal control group. Results showed that traditional histological grading coordinate with morphological quantitative grading. For some patients, the histological diagnosis were inconsistent to morphologic diagnosis; the indices of lower level lesion were more than that of highers or indeices of higher level lesion less than that of lowers. For a specific patient, quantitative examination of multiple morphological indices might be more accurate than merely histological diagnosis. In this paper, the interconnection among histological diagnosis, cytological diagnosis and morphological diagnosis were studied, drew the conclusion that the determination of multiple morphological indices in dysplasic squamous nucleus may be help for clinical diagnosis, treament and prognosis.
