Abstract:
Fifty cases of the breast cancer were analyzed for Estrogen and Progestin receptors by Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex (ABC) and affinity enzyme labeled methods on the frozen tissue and paraffin-embdded tissue of the tumor. It is suggested that ER-positive rates of conform of ABC with the affinity enzyme labeled methods were 91.2%, PR were 82.8%; ER-negative rates of the conform were 81.3%, PR were 76.2%. These results suggest that there are the correlation of two methods assaying ER and PR in breast cancer. It is dependable and susceptible to assay ER and PR in paraffinembedded tissue of the breast cancer by ABC method. These results are important in taking clinical endocrine therapy and estimating prognosis of breast cancer.
