Abstract:
This study reviewed the clinical experience of cementation in the treatment of giant cell tumor of bone adjacent to the knee. Twenty patients treated had been followed up for two to eleven years. Eighty per cent of them had excellent effects by analyzing the function of the knee joint, pain, and tumor recurrences. The rate of recurrences was only 10% (2 cases). The authors suggested if the selection of the cases is right, the long term results of the treatment would be very satisfactory.The study discussed the indication and the matters needing attention for the surgery.
