Abstract:
Between March 1 987 and August 1992,43 patients with inoperative recurrent rectal cancer were divided into two groups.Of the 43 cases 19 were treated with field-within-field radiation technique (group A)and 24 with conventional radiation technique(group B) as a contro 52.9%(9/17) patients with local pain in group A disappeared complete and 28%(6/23)in group B.1,2,3-year survival rate was 36.8%(7/19)and 10.d%(2/19)for group A,which was higher than 33.3% (8/24).8%(2/24) and 0 % for group B respectively.Thedifference of 2-year survival time in group A compared with that in group B was stastistically significant (P<0.05).
