Abstract: Objective To study the operation for preventing the missed theatment of multifocal esophageal carcinoma. Methods 532 cases of the operated esophageal carcinoma were investigated. Results There were 18 cases of bifocal esophageal carcinoma in these cases.Of these 18 cases,only 1 case was diagnoses before operation,the other 17 cases were all founded during the operation. Conclusion The operation for esophageal carcinoma should adopt esophageal subtotal resection and esophagogastrostomy in the cervical region to prevent the missed treament.
