Abstract:
Objective To measure the contents of 3 neuropeptides in patients with lung carcinoma. Methods Plasma concentrations of three polypeptides, substance P(SP),somatostatin(SS),vasoactive intestinal polypeptide(VIP) were determined by radioimmunologic method in patients with lung cancer and 63 controls.Reaults SP,SS were significantly elevated while VIP obviously lowered in patients with lung cancer than those in normal controls. There were no statistical difference among SP,SS and VIP in patients, respectively.SP was positive to SP,VIP was negative to SP and SS.There were no correlation between 3 neuropeptides and CEA. Conclusion Detected plasma concentrations of 3 neuropeptides were helpful to diagnose and study immunological function in lung cancer.
