Abstract:
Objectivc This research is to deal with the regularties of the effects of interventional chemotherapy for malignant tumor upon the peripheral hemogram of the patients. Methods 116 cases of malignant tumor were examined in their peripheral hemogram respectively at the end of the first, the second and the third week both preoperatively and postoperatively. The time and degree of the decrease of their white cell, thrombocyte and hemoglobin in different age groups were counted, followed by the χ2 test. Results (1) In Group A (Patients over 50 years old),the decrease of the white cell, thrombocyte and hemoglobin began on the first week after the interventional therapy. In Group B (patients between 25~49 years old),such decrease began on the second week (P<0.01). (2) In Group A, the decrease of the peripheral hemogram is obvious. It is not in Group B (P<0.01). Conclusion Interventional chemotherapy will to some degree result in marrow inhibition.
