Abstract:
Objective The purpose of this study was to determine the chemotherapelltic Effect on ovarian cancer metastasited to Retropertioneal lymphnodes. Methods From 1986 to 1995,86 patients with primary ovarian cancer underwent pelvic lymphadenectomy and paraortic lymphadenectomy in our hospital. The patients were divided into two groups. There were 44 cases who underwent alone operation during the prior 5 years and 42 cases who underwent operation and chemotherapy during the posterior 5 years. Results In the stage Ⅲ,The incidences of pelvic lymphatic metastasis and paraaotic lymphatic metastasis were 56.25%(9/16) and 31.25%(5/16)separately in the alone operation group,But 56.6%(17/30) and 30%(9/30) in the operation plus chemotherapy group. There was no significant difference statislycally in the two groups(P>0.05). There were 21 cases who suffered from lymphatic matastasis in 42 cases in the operation plus chemotherapy group. There were two patients, who had good therapeutic effect(9.5%)histologyly in 21 patients. Conclusion s This study indicated that chemotherupy was of no good therapeutic effect to retroperitioneal lymphatic metastasis of ovarian cancer.
