Abstract:
Elderly tumors have become a major and increasingly prominent challenge in the field of global public health. In recent years, with the emergence of treatments such as minimally invasive surgery, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy, the philosophy of modern medical treatment has gradually shifted from cure to minimally invasive and low-damage approaches, transitioning from a micro to a macro perspective. The "Green Therapy" system for tumors, pioneered by Professor Hu Kaiwen since 2003, aligns closely with this trend and was established even earlier. This system targets elderly tumor patients who have failed standard treatments or cannot tolerate them, replacing "cure" with "control." It integrates modern minimally invasive techniques with holistic regulation from Traditional Chinese Medicine, forming a treatment pathway that balances local and systemic approaches, aiming to achieve long-term peaceful coexistence between patients and tumors. This paper systematically elaborates on the construction and application of this system, with the goal of providing a new pathway for low-damage treatment of elderly tumor patients.
