Abstract:
Objective To investigate the impact of Proton radiation therapy on osteopontin (OPN) in peripheral blood of patients with malignant tumor. Methods Serum levels of OPN in 17 cases with malignant tumor were detected by ELlSA methods before and after radiotherapy. Results OPN value in post-radiotherapy blood was significant lower than that in pre-radiotherapy blood (
P<0.05). Conclusion Proton radiation therapy can significantly reduce the OPN concentration in peripheral blood of patients with malignant tumor to achieve the purposes of inhibition the proliferation and transfer of cancer cells.
