Abstract:
Objective To analyze the expression of integrins in 3 different lung cancer cell lines including A549 (adenocarcinoma), H1650 (bronchioloalveolar carcinoma) and DMS53 (small-cell carcinoma). Methods The mRNA was extracted from A549, H1650 and DMS53, and then reversely transcribed to the cDNA. The mixed probes labeled by 32P were hybridized to the microarray chip, and exposed to a phosphor screen and scanned in a phosphoimager. Results ITGB1 integrin was observed with up-regulation in all the lung cancer cells. The expression level of several integrins including ITGA3, ITGA4, ITGB6 and ITGB8 displayed a>2.0-fold difference. Up expression of ITGA4 was detectable in H1650, and ITGA3 was observed in all the lung cancer cells except in DMS53, ITGB6 and ITGB8 were detectable in DMS53. Conclusion The expression of several integrins varied in three lung cancer cells. Integrins may play an important role in lung cancer metastasis.
