Abstract:
Objective To evaluate the efficacy, toxicity and effect on quality of life (QOL) in advanced gastric cancer patients treated with Kangai injection combined with TX regimens. Methods Sixty-two patients with advanced gastric cancer were randomly divided into two groups: treatment group(
n=32) received Kangai injection and chemotherapy, and control group (
n=30) only accepted chemotherapy. The response rate, toxicity and QOL were compared between two groups . Results The response rate of treatment and control group was 46.9% and 43.3% repectively (
P>0.05), less toxicity than control group (
P<0.05), and the QOL was increased significantly(
P<0.05). Conclusion Kangai injection combined with chemotherapy can reduce the toxicity and improve the QOL.
