Abstract:
To study the characteristics of antigen expression and its clinical significance in acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). Methods The immunological phenotypes in patients with AML were assayed using monoclonal antibodies by flow cytometry. Results (1)In 139 cases, the ratio of antigen expression was MPO 92.1%, CD33 92.1% and CD13 89.2 %;respectively. Meanwhile 53 cases accompanying lymphocyto antigen expression, the ratio was CD19 20.9%, CD7 16.2%,CD2 7.2% and CD10 0.72%, respectively.(2)CD14 was highly expressed in M4、 M5 subtype. (3)The positive rate of stem or progenitor cell differentiation antigens CD117(83.8%), HLA-DR(80.3%),CD34(67.6), respectively.CR of the CD34 positive patients was significantly lower than CD34 negative ones (
P =0.034).(4)CR of the CD7 positive patients was significantly lower than that of CD7 negative ones(
P=0.041) . Conclusion Leukemia immunophenotyping could classify some particular types of myeloid leukemia and is important in diagnosis, treatment and prognositic criterion of AML.
