Abstract:
Objective To study the clinical significance of four acute phase proteins in patient s with cancer complicated with infection. Methods The serum concent rations of C-reactive proteins (CRP) 、serum amyloid A protein (SAA) 、alphal2acid glycoprotein (AAG) and alphal2antit ryp sin (AAT) 102 patients with cancer were measured by nephelometry immunoassay, and compared with white blood cell (WBC) counts. Results The abnormal rate of CRP、SAA、AA G、AAT and WBC are 35. 3 %、37. 3 %、17. 6 %、18. 6 % and 22. 5 %, respectively, significant increases were noted the abnormal rate of CRP and SAA compared with AAG、AAT and WBC ( P < 0. 05) . Conclusion CRP and SAA were the sensitive markers compared with AAG、AAT and WBC, and it had the practical clinical importance for the patients with cancer complicated with infection.
