Abstract:
Objective To investigate the clinical value of serum CA125Ⅱ in lung cancer patients. Methods The serum CA125Ⅱ level of 90 lung cancer and 20 lung benign disease patients were tested by immunoradiometoric assay( IRMA). Results The serum CA125Ⅱ level of lung cancer patients was significantly higher than those of lung benign disease and normal control group patients (P<0.05 or P<0.01).Among the total, the CA125Ⅱ positive rate in the cases of squamous, adenoild and undifferinated carcinoma were 36.1%,71.4% and 41.7% respectively. The diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of serum CA125Ⅱ for lung cancer were 53.3% and 95.0% respectively. The serum CA125Ⅱ level was significantly reference with clinical stages. The positive rate of Ⅲ,Ⅳ stage was significantly higher than that of Ⅰ,Ⅱ stage (P<0.01). Conclusion The determination of serum CA125Ⅱ for the lung cancer, especially adenocarcinoma,is a useful diagnosis method. It can be used as an adjunctive test in the clinical stages, observation of result and judgement of prognosis.
