Abstract: Objective To investigate the relation between the growing speed of the Primary Liver Carcinoma (PLC) and the sex.age.size and the position of the tumor. Methods To measure the average diameter and calculate the growing speed(doubling time or TD) of the tumor according to the results of two B—ultrasound examinations of 101 patients. Results The medium TD of 101 patients is 40 days,men:39 days,women:52 days;Patiets who are or less than 50 years old:33 days,Patients who are or more than 50 years old:69 days;The medium TD of the tumor which has the diameter of less than 5cm is 27 days,5～10cm:37 days,more than 10cm:85 days;The position of the tumor:the right part,40 days,the left part,44 days. Conclusion The growing speed of the Primary Liver Carcinoma of people aged fifty is faster than that of those who are more than fifty.The growing speed has little to do with the sex.size and the position of the tumor.
