The effect of kang Lai-te injection and multimodality therapy in primary lung cancer

Objective To study the therapeutic effect and change of quality of life in patients with lung cancer treated with Kang Lai-te injection in combination with chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Methods Thirty-five cases of the lung cancer were investigated from 1997 to 1999.Each patient received Kang Lai-te injection at the dose of 100 ml daily i.v.for 20 days,with combination chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Results RR was 60%.The improvement of QOL and increase of body weight were observed after treatment. Conclusion Kang Lai-te injection has a favorable anti-cancer effect on the treatment of primary with lung cancer,and could be used in patients with lung cancer in combination with radiotherapy and chemotherapy.The effect of treatment and QOL could beimproved.
