Abstract:
With the technological innovation of molecular biology research and the vigorous development of computer bioinformatics, the role of long non-coding RNA(lncRNA) and its biological functions have been studied intensively. It plays important roles in regulating the processes of cell cycle, growth and apoptosis. The abnormal expression of lncRNA is also closely related to the proliferation, migration and invasion of cancer. This review summarizes the research progress of lncRNAs and their regulatory mechanisms that influence the biological functions of esophageal cancer in recent two years, especially the role of lncRNA as a competitive endogenous RNA(ceRNA), so as to provide new ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of esophageal cancer.
